By now it's pretty obvious that Bangkok is one of my favourite destinations. Trip after trip, it has become a yearly affair. This time, a trip for four. It was a long awaited trip as we booked our flight since October 2016. (Ah yes, a couple of weeks after coming back from my previous trip.)
It's our first flight with Thai Airways and although it was a full flight, I have to say that I was pretty impressed with their service. And this time around, we decided to stay at two different hotels. First two nights at Chao Hostel, and then Hotel Once. This trip at Chao Hostel, we got a slightly smaller room but it was just as cozy.
By the time we got to the hotel, it was close to dinner time. Quick freshening up and off we went to Som Tam Nua. Since we were early, it didn't take us too long to get our table. Well, the guys waited while us girls shopped at In Box bazaar at Siam Square Soi 5.
After dinner we Uber-ed to Rod Fai Srinakarin for our first round of street food. Oh, we even found and tried the traditional hot pot. Unlike the usual tom yam, we were served clear pork based soup and I must say that it tasted superb! Overall damage for the hot pot? 188THB only. Slurps!
We ended the night pretty early and headed back to our hotel for drinks and to recharge for Chatuchak the following morning.
