And then, it's his birthday! A day that for the husband to relax a little (less walking and shopping time), more eating.
Started the day with Beef Noddles for him and Kurobota Pork Noodles for myself at Nuer Koo Premium Beef Restaurant (located at 4th floor of Siam Paragon). Well, according to the husband, his bowl of noodles was really good. Of course, I too enjoyed my meal.
We walked/shopped a little and ended up at After You Cafe (at Siam Square One), and for the first time ever, the husband actually enjoyed his dessert (reason being not too sweet). Had their Signature Honey Toast (Baby Size), Strawberry Cheesecake Kakigori and Earl Grey Lychee Tea.
And then we headed back to our hostel to freshen up before heading over to Red Sky at Centara Grand Hotel for a sunset evening Happy Hour session before proceeding to his birthday dinner a floor below. Be sure to get there early! The car was packed by 5pm as there is limited space available.
I would say that overall the ambiance was good but the captain had to ruin our mood by giving us a skeptical look while questioning us about our seats at the restaurant. Questions like "Are you sure you made a reservation? Did anyone escort you to your table?". Seriously? Even if we didn't make any reservations, we shouldn't be questioned as though we were criminals with that look on the face...
But I felt like it was a waste that we couldn't enjoy our dinner outdoors as it started to drizzle before our food was served. Hence, a pic outside and the rest of the night was spent indoors. With a quick birthday dessert surprise for the husband!
