[events] Isetan X Vivi Japanese Styling Workshop

Monday, December 17, 2012

when i found out about the whole collaboration between Isetan x Vivi magazine, i was mad excited to see what activities and events that they would be having. and there was this japanese styling contest where by we mix and match our own clothing and send in by december 7th. and the 10 winners would get to attend a styling workshop by Miss Chiharu Kikuchi san~

and me being kiasu decided to send in three different coordinates but most of the items on me were ForuChizu stuffs. coz wanna get to be in top ten. LOL! and my winning picture was the cute mode look.

and the day came for the workshop. headed towards klcc and there were many people that day. the workshop started at about 2.15pm coz we were waiting for some winners to come by too.

the workshop started off with the emcee doing the opening. the emcee was also the translator. and then she asked Chiharu san a couple of questions before passing over. and then Chiharu san selected a few of us of go up and share our style besides commenting on how we dressed.

there was this one girl, jessica who is only seventeen and i love her wedges. her dressing is pretty much simple that day but it suits her for her age.

Chiharu san shared a lot about her fashion style and how to mix and match to bring out different styles. but they were mostly vintage and girly/feminine styles for Christmas as she matches them from the brands that Isetan x Vivi brought in for the Love Tokyo collaboration.

and then there was the Q&A session where we all get to ask her questions!~ some of the answers are :

- Colours depends on the different season and brands but Green and Red would be the main colours next year.
- Polka dots and vintage would be in trend for 2013.
- To look taller, either wear heels of a high hat.

and then they asked if anyone would volunteer to go do their own mix and match. it was really quite so i decided to volunteer. so i selected a lacey top to pair it with a chiffon midi skirt for work. something simple yet feminine which suits my industry. i love that top a lot but its a lil too pricey for me. :(

and after that it was goodie bag giveaway time and also photo session. (i dont have a pic of my goodies coz i gave an item to Xian as a gift).

so that was all for the workshop but there will be more events and promotions coming up!~ thanks hayley and eva from isetan team!~

all pics credited to Isetan Kuala Lumpur facebook page.

my outfit of that day was:

headband : foruchizu
bag : sometime boutique
heels : bangkok
