Another year, another Lunar New Year celebration. This year, it's slightly different for me. Although I'm legally married (meaning I would have to visit both sides of the family), I still get to collect angpau(s) (*ahem* clears throat)!
Basically, Lunar New Year is all about spending quality time with family, eat, drink, pray and sleep (or maybe a little gambling). On the eve of CNY, we had our usual family reunion steamboat dinner. It's not a reunion unless it's steamboat!
We skipped the temple hopping this year as it would be too late (when I say late, I meant that it would end at probably around 5 in the morning) and we had to go around for CNY visiting. Thankfully the weather was really good in Penang, so we managed to visit quite a number of relatives. And at night, I had my usual once-a-year gathering with the same bunch of people doing the same things - dinner and then drinks at Rasa Sayang.
The hubby came over to Penang to visit my side of the family and have lunch (wanted to visit The Lawn Cafe but wasn't open) before we left of Ipoh for family dinner with his side of the family. Headed back home to relive our childhood memories.
On the third day of CNY, we did a couple of visiting and headed over to Tapah to visit his grandparents (and played L4D2). At night, we managed to catch some party and darting time with his siblings.
We slept in a little on the fourth day and then headed out for lunch and for a quick coffee fix/dating time. At night, we headed to Tg Tualang for some awesomely fresh seafood dinner and then back to Ipoh for Deadpool.
